The Setting

Silk is set in a fictional world of my own design. Chihang is an amalgam of various Far Eastern cultures in the real world. Before you go all Memoirs of a Geisha on me, be assured that all the other nation states in this world are also mix-n-match affairs.

The Story

Technically this is a prequel to my other Roma stories.  Set several decades before their main timeline, Chihang is on the brink of change. They can either stay the course of the aging, but still very much alive, Emperor En… or be tempted by his son, Prince Hu.

The Prince’s tactics include the women of the imperial palace’s inner sanctum–women who have little power over their own lives and are often disregarded. He offers them a chance to change the course of the empire. Some have accepted willingly. Others… will need convincing.

The Author

Is a college student studying Creative Writing. She hopes to eventually publish Silk and its counterparts. This is unlikely to happen anytime soon, so keep her encouraged with lots of feedback. Even negative things. It’s all important.

Oh, and nagging is really important. Seriously.
