By god, I love the Smart Bitches! Their fabulously hilarious blog, SmartBitchesTrashyBooks.com was the perfect platform for their snarkage, but it couldn’t really contain everything about the genre. Blogs are topical, this book is more an overview of the genre as a whole, while reiterating the Smart Bitches ultimate message. Don’t rag on someone for their reading selection. It doesn’t mean they’re stupid. It just proves you’re a jackass.

It is, of course, rife with pure Bitch. Swearing, snarking, bitching… with a hefty showing of love for the genre, and consternation for both genre-haters, AND the people who love romance so much that NOTHING CAN EVER BE CRITICIZED OR YOU ARE MEAN. They’re called the Smart Bitches for a reason. They’re really fuckin’ smart. Candy and Sarah are hella articulate. And anyone who wants to dismiss them as less just because they read romances needs to sit down and have a conversation with these women. Because damn they will smack you silly.

I love them. I really, really do.
